The 70’s Soul Jam is the coming to Jacksonville! The Stylistics, The Spinners, and the Main Ingredient with Cuba Gooding will take the Florida Theatre stage to perform their most memorable hits this winter!
THE STYLISTICS
The Stylistics, a Philadelphia-based quartet is one of the most accomplished soul bands ever. With their charisma, style and harmony, they evolved into a best-selling group with a remarkable 10 straight top-ten hits in the 1970’s. Their hits include “Stop, Look, Listen to your Heart”, “You Are Everything” “Betcha By Golly Wow” and “You Make Me Feel Brand New”.
THE MAIN INGREDIENT with CUBA GOODING SR.
Cuba Gooding Sr., a Harlem New York native, is the former longtime lead vocalist of the legendary R&B/pop group “Main Ingredient”. In his 30 years with “Main Ingredient”, he sang on such top-charting singles as “Everybody Plays The Fool”, “Just Don’t Want To Be Lonely” and “You’ve Been My Inspiration”. Gooding is father to actors Cuba Gooding Jr., Omar Gooding, April Gooding and musician Tommy Gooding. In one of Cuba Gooding, Jr.’s movies (Radio), there is a scene where “Radio” is listening to The Main Ingredient.
THE SPINNERS
The Spinners are an American soul music vocal group, active for over 50 years, and with a long run of classic hits especially during the 1970s. The group, originating from Detroit, is known for their hits "I'll Be Around," "I'm Coming Home," "Love Don't Love Nobody," “Mighty Love,” "Then Came You" (featuring Dionne Warwick), and "The Rubberband Man."
